This board has been so quiet lately!

Does anyone care to share their theatrical highlights of 2015 or goals for 2016?

2015 Highlights:

Was able to land the role of Sigmund Freud in Freud's Last Session with an excellent co-star and an equally excellent director. We had really good audiences, especially considering the rather spikey subject matter, e.g., a debate on the merits of religion vs atheism taking place on the eve of World War II.

Other highlights:

Saw a few exquisitely memorable shows by other local groups. Other Desert Cities, The Drowsy Chaperone, and [title of show].

Goals for 2016:

Hoping to get the go-ahead on directing By Jeeves for another group.

Thanks for playing! Here are mine.

2015 Highlights:

Played the role of Karen in an awesome production of August: Osage County.-- the production took home 15 awards at our annual awards ceremony for local theatres! Was also a cast member in two other great productions (Deathtrap and The Butler Did It) Three shows in a year is just about right for me.

I also saw many wonderful shows in the area, in both professional and community theatres.

2016 Goals:
I hope to find roles in another 3 productions as varied as the ones from 2015.

Beverly in August: Osage County was a 2013 highlight for me, and 2014's highlight was Nixon in Frost/Nixon.

Had to cut back the last couple of years because my wife was ill. She's better now, though, and pushing me toward more auditions.

Those are some great roles!

Always nice to have a supportive spouse encouraging you to audition. I'd say mine tolerates my theater habit, but he always promotes the shows I'm in.

Ha, I check here about every month, glad to see something....Highlights?? Well, I kept our little backwoods acting troupe busy all year. Macbeth, Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves, now Christmas Carol. And a Haunted House and a few other bit gigs.
Next year, just hope to keep it up. We have a good bunch of people, they look to me to keep things moving.
