A few years ago I saw a children's theater present a version of Oliver! that was a little different than the original. The music and characters  were the same but it was slightly abbreviated and Bill doesn't kill Nancy nor does he get killed in the end.  I was wondering if there is a school version of Oliver. I didn't find any info on one from Tams Whitmark. Anybody have any insight into this?

Some years ago, a director in my neighbourhood (in the UK, hence the spelling) made enquiries about making an adaptation of "Oliver!" using Lionel Bart's original music.  The request was firmly refused and no alternative was suggested.
As far as I know, there is no "schools edition" (a habit which, I think, is much more recent than "Oliver!")

Since the original version requires a cast with many children, what would be the point of a schools edition?
