I was just appointed to the head of our groups events committee, and that committee suggests the shows for the upcoming season to the board.  i am looking for any suggestions for small cast comedies, 5-7 people.  We cater to a small town, our audience loves to laugh.  looking for mainly family friendly shows, but i will take all suggestiions.

Our season consists of one dinenr theatre Januray/February

Spring Stage Show
Summer Stage Show or Dinner Theatre
Fall Stage show or Christmas show

Any good Christmas show suggestions?

Thanks in advance for the suggestions!!

For a comedy try "Mary, Mary" by Jean Kerr.
(Same woman who wrote "Please Don't Eat The Daisies')
3 men, 2 women (one of the men is an accountant - could be a woman)
Very Funny.
Longest running comedy on Broadway until "Odd Couple" came along.

Christmas Show: "Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)"
Playscripts, Inc.
Similar in style to "Complete Works of Shakespeare - Abridged"
3 actors run through Rudolph, Frosty, Grinch, Charlie Brown, Gift of the Magi, The Nutcracker, Christmas Carol, It's A Wonderful Life, and many more
We sold out all performances except the one on the day of the "big snow" when we were 30 seats shy of sold out.

If I think of anything else, I'll be back.

If you need a summer comedy with a cast from 5 to 7, "Blind Dates, Inc." could easily fill the bill.  Very flexible.  You can use as few as four actors, 2m, 2F, to put on these shows.  Incredibly easy set - just 2 chairs at two small tables.  The show has pairs meeting for the first time over blind dates.  You can view the entire shows online below.  They are one acts, but you could put two or three together for a very nice evening.

Hope this has been a help.
