Hi- I am directing Picasso at the Lapin Agile by Steve Martin. I am trying to brainstorm how to do Eintein's hair. I don't want to put a wig on the actor.
He has straight dark blonde hair. He has been growing it out a bit. I was thinking of either curling or crimping his hair to give it that big signature Einstein look.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Keep in mind that in the play, this is a young Albert Einstein, just before he gains fame. You don't need to create the look he was famous for in the latter stages of his life. When we did it a few years ago, our Einstein didn't have the exact hairdo, but it was just "interesting enough" enable the audience to make the connection. It was the actor's own hair, too. I think he used some hairspray to get the off-kilter look, but that was about it! The only character that really needs to look a lot like the well-known icon in the play is Elvis Presley.

Einstein is the guy in the gray suit in the second photo down, if you can't tell. :)
