Building an abstract set and need a free standing working bedroom door.  How do I accomplish this without visable bracing?

I would suggest a large steel plate on the floor, and a frame of square steel tubing that the door and its frame sits inside of welded directly to the plate. If you are careful, you can hide the square steel inside the door frame with little trouble. Other than that, I am not sure that there is a way to do it. The joint at the floor needs to be totally rigid, and I don't think using wood will give you that without bracing.

I was leaning that way but didn't think about the square tubing.  Thanks for the tip at three in the morning.
