I'm not going to give much information about me.

I barely graduated from college with a BA in Theater. I'm planning to start a career as a Film or Stage Director/Producer. I am thinking to start a path doing a community theater here in my local area.

The issue is that I don't have any connection or influences. My questions is that what steps should I follow to start?

Is there anyway I could start my community theater company without giving personal information to city commissions?

what other requirements as far as paperwork needs to be handle in order to establish and being green lighted for the theater?

Are there any fees needed to pay?

Does community theater can count as community service?

With all the hope I wish my questions can be answer. Thank you from a budding artist.

Have a look at the AACT [American Association of Community Theatre] site ;-

there is a lot of resources there that can be acessed by the public.
To me comeatre can be counted as 'community service', however this depends upon how this is defined & specified in your local area.
