I really want to include some sort of education for our community actors. I love everyone BUT I'm tired of seeing the same actors in the same types of roles. No one is growing in any way. I'm not sure how to get something started workshop/education wise.
I thought it would be fun to take a musical, cast it four months in advance and then break it down and workshop it. Bring in teachers for the different areas, acting, dance, voice, movement, stage management, directing, design, tech, etc. Then the actors and techs take the material from the show and break it down and work with professionals.
I'm just not sure how to get started with this idea.
What are others experiences with workshops and education?
Any ideas would be great.

Regarding Training,
Anyone now around New York City, including and especially Long Island (Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties) interested in joining in an excellent workshop dealing with both Shakespeare and our modern playwrights Font=Times should contact

Ms. Lines is passionate for theatre. The goal of acting is to make people believe that there is a real person on stage, and he/she has no idea what the next sentence they will speak will be.
