Hey all. As we always are looking for that big Christmas show to bring in the crowds, I have a suggestion for next year. We are currently working on "It's a wonderful life, the musical." It was originally written for a mega church in Dallas Tx.  There are two versions available. One is a little more church based and the other is a little more secular (though not by much, I mean it is Christmas)  I think the music is good, though not overly difficult. One of those that works well for those more accustomed to singing in church than Broadway. The story is pretty true to the movie. I think it lends itself to a big cast or a more scaled down production. It comes with an orchestration track as well as a cast recording. They send you a movie of when they did it (which was done in a huge vaudeville house theater) as well and another cd that has all the scripts, chorus books and orchestra music for you to print out as many as you like and you keep all the materials. The royalties were very attractive too!

I have no vested interest in the show (other than I am currently playing Uncle Billy) but I think this show has the potential of being a Christmas regular.

Merry Christmas
