My group has been looking into this show.  Name value of the Composer never hurts. Minimal staging.  Small cast and "orchestra".   Catchy songs.  Love's Maze is one of those tunes that get stuck in your head - which may or may not be a good thing.

Anyone out there have experience with the show?

Thanks

Like you I would love to stage Jeeves, with it's typical Pohmy farce plot. It was staged here a while ago, but I never got to see it, only viewed the one on DVD that was shot in Canada.
The set had the prequistes of farce with it's 1/2 dozen or more doors, that were incorporated into a mezzanine balcony. Which come into to play mainly for the "It's a pig" number, otherwise as was the case localy, the doors can be all set on the flat of the deck.
The only problem they did have I believe, was with Woster climbing the ladder & then it being lowered & balanced onto the deck with him on it.
It didn't get very good audiances which was a pity!

Thanks.  Don't like the part about the attendance.  But that's the chance you take with any production.

I believe it sold out towards the end of the season, up in the hills east of Perth @ Roleystone theatre & The Sydney production did well.

As it is not the 'Lards' better know works, it may be a problem. Although the Roleystone production won 3rd place, in our State Finley Awards.
