We have to rent a theater for productions.  Right now we have the Thanksgiving week.  The theater had nothing but a few weekday dates the rest of November and December.  I have a feeling November 23-30 is open for a very good reason.

Any thoughts on staging a play during holiday weekends?

BTB, the three combined "Triad" cities number around 750,000.

Thanks

Mark

Well, I think Thanksgiving Day is out, but the 27, 28, & 29 might be good if you have a holiday play aimed at children and families.  Anything else I would think would be a disaster.

I did a production of Steel Magnolias and the schedule fell over Mother's Day.  We thought this might be a good thing..to take your mother to see this show for MD.  Well it turned out to be a bomb for our box office.  We rarely did shows over holidays after that
