Hello,

I'm looking for a one act show that runs between 45 to 60 minutes and is relatively clean. I don't want it to be a 'kids' show. It should be for a community theatre setting and for general audiences. Minor profanity is fine. One example is the 1-act version of Flowers for Algernon. I know there are thousands of one-acts out there. Are there any specific ones that really moved you?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have several that might interest you, and they are all appropriate for community theatre venue. Together, they would make a good evening show. They have been produced but royalty fees are modest and I would consider waiving fees for a community theatre that has senior discounts and educational outreach program. I hold all exclusive rights to the plays. Titles and loglines follow. Email me at lindastockham@netzero.net if interested. Thanks.
"Crossing Bells" - A recluse owns and operates a small desert art gallery where no painting is for sale. (3f) 12 min. running length.
"Goddesses of the Western World" - Senior citizens in a retirement home reminiscent about their lives. (6f,1m) 35 min. running length.
"Golden Elliott" - A deeply troubled man is forced to recall the death of his best friend in Vietnam. (2f,1m) 35 min. running length.

I invite you to check out my comedy, "Bob's Date," available from Heuer (hitplays.com). It just enjoyed an 18-show run at the Edinburgh Fringe festival and got some good reviews. Runs about 45 mins.

Some of the scripts on http://www.lazybeescripts.co.uk/cgi-bin/Search_Results.asp?iMT=45&iXT=60&iAR=3&iC%285%29=2&iC%2810%29=2&iC%2818%29=2&iC%2819%29=2&iC%2821%29=1 - this list might fit the bill.
Near the top of the list, "A time for farewells" moves a lot of people.
