Have been considering this play for quite sometime. As I live a stone's throw away from Mt. Airy, I am surprised it hasn't been staged in a long time.

Or is that the reason? It is basically Mr. G's show. Might it be sacrilege to stage this so close to "Mayberry?"

What y'all think?

A production that close may actually be a draw if pubicity addresses it;

Which can sometimes be either a blessing OR a curse

(preconceived opinions on the topic)

One major difficulty you might consider:

The cast list calls for 22 males.

Don't know how your company would handle that,

but most community theatres I know might balk at that number.
