We are doing It's A Wonderful Life - The Musical and I would like the Set to Be minimalest.  I will be using the back sides of our existing flats and painting the fabric black.  I want the wood frames to be painted as to reflect whatever color the lights are.  Does anyone have a suggestion as to the type of paint to use, i.e flat, gloss, color suggestions?

Basicaly Black will absorb light, while lighter golours such as white will reflect. The same with gloss paint, which will bounce light, even using black, whille flat or mat paint tends to diffuse & absorb. So any gloss paint on the frames, will bounce any colours in the lighting & the black will receed.
Not sure as to the need to exspose the frame of the flats, which could look  quite daggy, unless they are neatly made? Also you may have problems with bracing the flats, on the front & messing up the skin for others using them later on.
