Just was trying to figure out how do you fly in a ceiling? I'm looking to do that for a production I'm doing of Wonderful Town where the apartment will have a ceiling.   Do you have to use two fly rail together?

Depending on the size & weight of the cieling, will determine if the counterwieghts need to be 'Muled' together or coupling the head baterns?
ith full depth ceilings, generaly 'Breasting' the ceiling flats is required, from a central 'bridle' dropper.  Thus folding out, from flat, to the required depth of the set. Wether there is mulipule folds or just one across the set width,
Me thinks a wee bit more info, if you could Ben, as there are loads of ways this can be acheived.

We need more information to give useful answers.
Does the ceiling need to be placed and struck during the show?
What is the size of the ceiling?
What is your available fly space?

I don't know much about this show, but couldn't you make a forced perspective ceiling that hangs flat on one batten.  Making a real ceiling over a set sounds like a lighting nightmare to me.

The ceiling needs to be struck during the show. The ceiling should run about 15 feet wide and doesn't have to be particularly deep as the perspective will be forced based on the fly's we have available. We have about 20 fly rails that are serperated about 6 inches from each other.
