Hello!

Next year, the high school is doing an alternative/punk version of Alice in Wonderland for our state's one-act festival in the spring.  I need to build a tree that a teenage actor (Cheshire Cat) could sit in that looks pretty realistic.  It also needs a door at the bottom of the trunk for actors to crawl through.  This tree would be stationary on stage, but it needs to be transported to the festival (maybe multiple festivals, if we win at regionals).  Therefore it would need to fit through normal doorways.  So it can be in pieces, but ones that are easy to construct.  (I must be nuts.)  Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi, i don't know how to build the tree but i can give you a little inspiration...my high school did alice as one-act my senior year for competition so i know how hard it is come up with with something that travels well.  below is a highlight video from the performance...i designed the set and everything came apart into pieces...good luck with your show, you can definitely do some crazy things for with alice

I really liked the melted clock  and the chessboard ramps.  I can see why your group won Best Set. ^_^
