We recently updated our web site and as part of it, added an on-line survey.  We've had a fairly good response in people replying and filling it out.  We're going to replicate it and do it as a stuffer in our playbill/program.  The incentive for people to fill it out is that they would be included in a drawing for dinner for two at a restaurant that supprts our theatre.  With the survey we want to find out more about our customers and we want to know what marketing items works for us (ie, what radio station did they hear us on, what newspaper did they see us in, did they hear about it from a friend, did they see our sign/marquee, etc.)  Do you have a survey on-line?  If not, have you done a playbill/program stuffer survey?

You can see our survey on-line at www.osterregent.org

We have comment sheets available after the shows for the patrons in the refreshment area.  Our people are great in leaving both pros and cons regarding our productions.  Usually the cons have something to do with "can't hear it very well" ~ most of those come from the older folk in the audience.  I like the idea of a 'playbill stuffer' and might do it for our upcoming production.

Do any of you poll your patrons about which specific shows they'd like to see?  As in, give a list of plays or musicals you're considering and asking them to check a box or write in their favorite.

We currently produce 3 comedies, 1 drama and 2 musicals each season but feel that we might be out of touch with what our patrons want to see.  We've had quite a lot of turnover this year (President, Treasurer, Artistic Director) and we now have the freedom to select shows that folks might actually want to see.

We do not currently have a survey form but would be interested to see what other companies are using.  We would also love help in developing one.

Thanks a bunch!  :-)

Well, our option wasn't up there....I have a gal who works the crowd, as they enter, at intermission, whenever, asking how they found out about the show.  Now if I could get her to all the shows......
