The Miracle Worker portrays the volatile, emotional relationship between the lonely teacher, Annie Sullivan and her blind charge, Helen Keller. Helen, trapped in her silent, secret world, is bitter, violent, spoiled and almost animal-like. Annieʼs success with Helen comes only after some of the most turbulent, emotionally intense scenes ever presented on the stage.
