This sounded like a good suggestion that I found in another group. Take some of your leftover paint and mix it all together in a 5 gallon buckets. The result is usually a fairly neutral color. It can be used as back paint for painting the back side of flats and other scenic elements. You can mix flame retardant to it make flame proofing easier. It also makes the back side of your set look far more professional.
