Theatre Education Coordinator

The Cheyenne Little Theatre Players is now accepting applications for a full time Theatre Education Coordinator. Below is a full description and requirements of the job. Job Description

  • Plan, develop, implement and oversee CLTP educational programs for learners of all ages.
  • Coordinate with marketing/PR staff member to develop marketing plan (tools, schedule, budget, etc.) for all CLTP educational programs.
  • Seek additional funding sources beyond tuitions for CLTP educational programs.
  • Develop and monitor overall CLTP education budget.
  • Serve as staff liaison with the Theatre Academy Committee.
  • Prepare monthly status report for Theatre Academy Committee.
  • Teach a minimum of two (2) youth classes and one (1) adult class in the fall of each year.
  • Teach a minimum of two (2) youth classes and one (1) adult class in the winter of each year.
  • Select, supervise, and evaluate all other teachers hired to assist with CLTP education offerings.
  • Develop curriculum and lesson plan format to be used by all teachers.
  • Ensure the quality of teaching through occasional observation of other teacher’s classes.
  • Develop and implement procedures for evaluating all CLTP educational programs.
  • Teach all auditioning workshops for both adults and children.
  • Teach a minimum of one (1) class for each of the three (3) summer sessions.
  • The Theatre Education Coordinator could teach more classes as time and energy allow.
  • The Theatre Education Director may direct 1-2 children’s shows a year—one in the fall and one in the winter—depending on need. The rehearsals would take place after school.
  • B.A. in Theatre or equivalent professional experience required. Emphasis in theatre education preferred.
  • Reports directly to Managing/Artistic Director.
  • Position is full time, but schedule is flexible based on teaching and directing load.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.
