In looking for plays by "Jack Sharkey/Monk Ferris/Rick Abbott" according to the time in his life, I ran across a play title called "A Turn For The Nurse" but can find little information about it other than the synopsis on Samuel French ($25.00).  Prior to laying out that money for a perusal copy, would like some feedback from those who have done this play.

I have never been involved in a production, but our company did a production a number of years ago.

I hated it beyond words.

However, the audience seemed to be on the floor laughing the entire evening, and we made a bucket of money.

If your audiences go for that Jack Sharkey/Rick Abbot kind of stuff, I'm sure they'll enjoy it. It's just too bleeding STUPID for me. (now where's that snob smiley emoticon? Tongue )

Tristanrobin:

Been there, done that.  Sometimes it seems that just what we don't believe will work is a hit with the audience and what we think is great doesn't translate to the seats.  When we finally find that script that we really enjoy, and that the patrons love, then we have hit the essence of the Communty Theatre.

Having said that, I truly don't believe that I have ever been involved in a production that I regretted.
