 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SouthPaw Productions and Blackwell Playhouse is proud to announce it's original production of Dracula:The Undead on stage at: 3380 Canton Highway, Marietta GA from July 24,25,26,27 and August 1 and 2.

This new adaptation of Dracula cleverly retells Bram Stoker's one-hundred and eleven year-old classic novel while retaining the terror and suspense of the original book. As the mysterious Count Dracula begins to exert his evil will upon the residents of London, Jonathan Harker and friends are forced to quickly unravel the mystery before time runs out. Rich with emotion and colorful characters, this adaptation restores characters and plot points left out by most other productions. Sanders and crew bring us along for a frightening journey interspersed with special effects, illusions, exciting costumes, and all the drama and flair of Victorian England.

This show is not suitable for children ages 13 and younger due to graphic content, startling special effects, and frightening situations.

 Lee D. Sanders, Director, Dracula

Even though this production mark's Lee's directorial debut at The Blackwell Playhouse, he's no stranger to it's stage. He has appeared in various roles such as, The Tinman in The Wizard of Oz, Jonathan Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace, and even the unfaltering Police Inspector Javert in Les Miserables. Since the age of 14, Mr. Sanders has been acting and involved in performance. Having been introduced to the stage through band and church performances, these experiences paved the way for his natural love of acting. Lee has appeared in additional productions such as Juvie, Godspell, Once Upon A Mattress, Hello Dolly, and Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. After graduating High School, Mr. Sanders went on to work for Six Flags Over Georgia as a character performer. In 1996 he moved to Orlando took a position with the Disney Company.
