I want to make a website that'll be used to promote all the theatre in my community. We have the community college theatre company, the community theatre, a summer theatre and a semi private type theatre company. I'd like to have a site that's a central point for all theatre around here. None of these groups have very good websites. The best one would be www.centerstagejackson.org and even that's not very good. I'd like to have a full event calendar, have photos and even little video promos for each show that'd be shot about a week before opening night.

I know a lot of people have links to there own theatre's website, but does anyone know of a site like I'm thinking about? I'd like to see one and how it's layed out.

This is used by our local area theater groups.

Our specific site is:
http://theatreboard.conforums.com/

The only problem with ours is, the moderator isn't very tolerant of
posts that he considers "negative" or "mean" directed at a person or group.

We have an outstanding community theatre hub here in North Carolina.  Every theatre is listed by region.  Everyone promotes their plays and lists their auditions here.  http://www.jnctg.com/ - http://www.jnctg.com/

don't know if this helps or not.
This is a free publicity site, run by a member of our local Theatre association.

also individually members of theatre groups can subscribe to a weekly E Newsletter, which is also free. Further any group can add information covering auditions, productions & a What's On.
