Wouldn't work in Colorado.  I heard this one on the news and thought it a bit ironic.  In Colorado, smoking "plant materials packaged for smoking" is not permitted, not even in theater.  That's right, you can't roll your own tea "cigarettes" for your show.  Their argument, which is quite stupid, is that if they allow "real" smoking in plays, soon they will be drinking real booze (underage, too), and firing real handguns.  Of course it's not as easy to replicate smoking as it is to use iced tea for alcohol or guns that fire blanks.

We went thru all this pathetic palaver quite a few years ago, when the no smokeo ban came into place.
They all rabbited on about projected losses & what ever.
But now it has just became part of life.
We have a limited exemption for theatre, however as there is more theatre performed in rented venues owned by City Councils & the like, they all have a no smoking policy.
We advise the authors agent, but as yet we have not been resticted if we drop the smoke bit.
But with the real guns argument, I thought that most of the punters would be 'Carring' them anyway over there?Wink
