The Walpole Footlighters in Walpole, MA, are just coming to the end of an 8-show run of my award-winning romantic comedy, "Dinner for Several." This show has sold out 4 of its 8 shows so far and had limited seating remaining for 3 more---in a 275-seat theater!

Could your group use a show with that kind of draw? Read the first act online at http://www.johnshanahan.net and see why the judges at the James Sunwall New Play Award (which it won in 2004) called it "a thinking person's Friends." The Boston-area newspaper The Patriot Ledger says it's "a laugh-filled take on singlehood and coupling." (Jim Dorman, 2/14/08)

Two acts, single unit set, lights up/lights down, 3 men, 4 women. Two hours.

Nothing like blowing your own horn, but I'll give it a read.

I like to think of it as self-promotion, thanks.

And it got you to read it, so it must work, eh? :-)
