Hello Everyone,

I'm from a community theatre in So. Cal that is interested in doing Disney's High School Musical. We have requested the rights to see what the royalties will be and decide if we can do this or not. Can anyone share with me the cost they had on royalties per show? I would appreciate it.

Hi Mary-Ann. Our royalties are based on 400 people per show for 5 shows and cost $2,000. There is a rental fee of $550 with an additional rental of $400 per month for additional time over the usual two month rental period. Extra librettos over and above the number included in the rental are $6.50 each. Logo pack, rehearscore add another $300. A video licence is available for $75.00. There is a $400 security fee too. This will give you an approximate cost. There are other things you can order which will put the cost up. It cost us over $4,600 Canadian and that did not include customs duties which you, at least, would not have to pay. Hope this helps. HH
