Any ideas where I could find 3 large wooden barrels (like the kind you would find on a ship in the 1600-1800's?)  They need to be large enough for a person to hide in.  (Actually, I'd like to cut out the back side so that several people can come out as if they were all hiding inside)

Check your local home improvement store.  They can most likely special order them in.  Most places like Lowes/Home depot carry half barrels in the garden department for planters and can order in the full barrels.

Thank you.  I'll check both ideas out.  Sorry for the delayed response, I've been out of commission for a week or so.  But I'm back on my game now!  Thanks!

Check with companies like Townsend & Son, who cater to reenactors - especially check with companies that deal with RevWar & rendezvous groups, though a lot of CW reenactors use them, as well.

There's a little bit of diva in all of us. Some just have a larger helping than others.

If you plan on saving the barrels, you need to keep some water in them all the time.  You'll have to check them throughout the year, otherwise they will dry up and shrink, falling apart.
