I am looking to direct Beauty & The Beast for our middle school this coming Spring. full length play or musical.... A number of you have mentioned you have directed this play to sold out audiences and I was hoping you could tell me what version of the play you used and where I could purchase it! Thanks!

I haven't mentioned it before, so you weren't looking for http://www.lazybeescripts.co.uk/cgi-bin/Search_Results.asp?iAR=5&iSc=288&sTh=%5BAny%5D - my version of Beauty and the Beast (a musical version) or http://www.lazybeescripts.co.uk/cgi-bin/Search_Results.asp?iAR=5&iSc=397&sTh=%5BAny%5D - James Barry's version . Both of these shows are English pantomimes. (See elsewhere for a definition of English pantomime, which is not a form of mime!) Both have been popular on stage.

I believe that most people are talking about the musical based on the Disney movie. Rights are available through MTI . http://www.mtishows.com/show_home.asp?id=000262 - http://www.mtishows.com/show_home.asp?id=000262

MTI is where we got our materials, and that is the Disney version. It is a full length musical. It really is a fun show.
