I do not have my own theater company established, but am planning on mounting a small two person show in the coming months. I have access to the few set, props, costume, etc. pieces I need and access to a free space at a local library. Do I need to create my own company before putting on the show? Or can I, as a private individual, put on this production? I've acted in many shows before, helped tp porduce others, but this is the first try at staging my own. Any words of wisdom would be helpful.

I can't help with your local laws, but I would suggest you check out Public Liability Insurance & as an individual you won't be protected, like a Group &/or association, unless you are incorporated under the Act, which protects your private assets & goods, if for whatever reason you are sued.
