Has anyone ever staged "Those Crazy Ladies in the House on the Corner" by Pat Cook ?

I think it could be very funny and well recieved. .....I also think it could be a fast way to a headache.

Any thoughts?

Where did you find the play, "You can't get there from here".  I did several searches and couldn't come up with anything.

I have had the privilege of directing this show twice and it has been a huge hit.  Each time we had to extend the run because we kept selling out.  When you read the script you will noticed the very beginning has all three ladies speaking at the same time.  After the shock the audience has, the begin conversing with them.  (e.i.  This sounds like my Aunt Mildred or this sounds like so and so, you do that too.)  It was so funny to hear the audience relate to this show.
The humor in this show is very relatable and the last scene is such a hit, by the time we closed the ladies began to "plus" the scene with hilarity.
Just a suggestion if you do direct this show, when the ladies are all talking at the same time I used a metronome to help them keep pace.
If you have any questions or want to discuss this show further, please feel free to ask.

Thanks for the advice Daniel J.. The metronome sounds like a great idea, and our CT has women that I think can pull it off. I'm glad to know that the audience related. The "all talking at once thing" WAS my concern so thank you! ....Now to sell it to the board.

Also, I look forward to reading You can't get there from here", thanks Marty

Our church drama ministry is holding auditions for CRAZY LADIES starting next week. I happened across the script in our public library and thought it was tremendous (and a big plus was that it requires more women than men)!
The second act was problematic for our denomination (drinking); however, our director contacted Pat Cook, who said he understood, having been raised in a similar situation, and graciously allowed us to change it. The doc will be suffering from sleep deprivation, having delivered triplets and tending to a patient's lumbago.
The metronome idea sounds helpful.
