I am currently writing an essay comparing theater and movies. My teacher said to find the benefits of theater and movie going, but i am having some trouble with that.

benefit of theater: no two performances are exactly alike, the exact experience can never be repeated, the actors are in the room with you so its more lifelike, plus they can play off the audience, so it can be more spontanious. plus there's an intermission.

benefits of movies: you can eat in the theater, it won't change (can be a pro or a con), you can watch them at home without having to go out, they can edit and do things that most theaters can't do

...i dont know if thats what you meant but thats what i could think of at the moment
