I've seen Nuncrackers and Nunsesne A-Men, but those are the only two.

Out of all that have been written ... which one would you consider to be the funniest or most crowd pleasing?  (Nuncrackers will not be an option.)

Obviously this is something we're considering for this fall.

In my opinion, the original "Nunsense" is far and away the best of the series.  All of the others simply follow the same formula, but with different (but similar) songs.  Basically, if you've seen the original, you've seen them all.

Now I've opened a can of worms.  Commence firing!

I've directed three separate productions of Nunsense.  It's a great showcase for women and it works with an audience.  I won't be directing it again, since the last time I was gritting my teeth a lot and thinking about the profits that would pursuade the theatre to give me a Mamet to direct.

I've seen some of the sequels because friends were cast in them.  Horrible.  Just horrible.  Dan Goggin had one successful show, so he keeps writing it over and over with different titles.

If he and Ray Cooney ever get married and start collaborating, the theatre world is doomed.

I agree. The first is best. I did see a great production on Amen which was so funny I almost wet myself. It is the same as the first one only with men.
