Tuesday midnight: I just posted another pic of the set with some new walls & paint, the lights should be up in a few days. The fireplace is almost done and we're hoping to have the singing wall fish by the weekend (crosses fingers). The Concord Monitor (Walter Alarkon) came by today and seemed very happy with everything and we played a few tunes for him (just me on guitar) and he talked with us old guys and the kids (young adults rather...) so it all went well. Hopefully he didn't get a headshot of me as i'd probably break the lens and/or scare away his readers...;>).

Besides, I don't want to be famous, even for an afternoon's read...
Now rich.... I can deal with that!
Pizza everyday!

What is cool about the set is we've got 'parts' from about 4-5 different/past production sets mixed in with the new materials - carrying the 'luck' along I suppose! It feels good to have those past memories helping to build this new one.
It's gonna feel terrible to strike it but as Mehegan keeps saying - that's the magic of it - no trace...

I hope so too! The rubber chicken we have (an 'arrow' fired from a bow that lodges throught the bad guys leg) is one that makes noise when you squeeze it and that's brought a few cool things to the part it's involved in ie: the lights go black in the auditorium (the fisherman being fired at - long story, but it's a game they play... and he closes his eyes so he doesn't see what happens...) and the original direction was for the guy firing the arrow would toss the chicken behind the curtain (there's a 2nd that gets cut in half and sewn to either side of the bad guys pants leg slo it looks like it went through his leg when he comes onstage...)

Anyway, the chicken's have that noise thing inside them and now the fisherman will just slowly squeeze the thing as he draws it back along the bow (to keep it from making the noise) prior to 'firing' it and now he'll just throw it across the stage (where it'll make the noise as the device 'inhales' air) and it makes a great sound in the 'dark' and gives the audience something to 'follow' with their imagination.

Just a little unexpected bonus from a prop that adds a bit to the comedy.
