One of our scenes calls for a 10' x 8' (ht) bedroom wall with two working windows in the center.  We need one of our students cast as a firefly to climb in and out of the window.

A fellow teacher has volunteered to build them but doesn't know if we can install working windows into a flat.  Does anyone know if this can be done?  I would appreciate any suggestions you might have.  Thanks!

Is it a double window, opening adjacent to each other or set singly in 2 separate 5’ flats?
Separate window flats may be a better option, rather than a double widow flat, which may prove a problem of adaquate stage bracing.
Single window flats might be more stable. Using 1’ joggers booked on each side of the window flats, as the stage braces.
Are they TV or soft skin flats?
Here is the basics parts of a flats construction, that may help:-
