Has anyone done this show?  My question is whether this is a show aimed at a youth/childrens audience or is it something adults will enjoy, too?  Is it meant to be performed by youth or adults?

Because of venue issues I never got the chance to see this one through, but we were well into rehearsals when we were scrubbed.  I was doing it with a mix of adults and kids and it seemed to be blending well. I used kids mostly matching the ages of the main characters (the 4 kids). I had adults in the role of Aslan, White Witch and her sidekick (name escapes me at the moment).  Adults also played the Uncle and the the maid.   I had some kids on the various wolves and of course chorus. I was even working a chorus of small children into the mix.

I think the show would appeal to all ages and can and probably should be done by various ages. Though I say an all 8th grade performance of the show and it was pretty good.

My co-host and I talked a great deal about this show in our podcast's inaugural episode. Here is the link for that. http://yourneighborhoodstage.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=100357 - http://yourneighborhoodstage.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=100357

Best of luck with the show.

The book for the musical is different from the play. It was written by different people. I would think it would have run around an hour and a half to two hours.  The book was definitely a lot shorter than the play.

I have appeared as Fenris Ulf in this show. We put it up about 10 years ago and it was well received. We performed it with a mixture of kids and adults. The show is aimed at the same audience as the books, movies, tv shows, et al. It runs abou 2-2 1/2 hours, and I choreographed a rather large battle sequence with the entire cast moving on and off the stage during it. Let me tell you how fun it was to do fight scenes with 12-14 year olds! Wow! But we kept control and made it as simple as possible for them, with only a few set moves that were repeated over and over again.

Hope this helps. It was a really fun show overall and we aimed it for a family audience.
