Hello!  I am looking for a good one act play with a mixed cast of around 15.   I have a lot of enthusiastic high school kids but they have little experience.  Any one have any ideas for me?
Thanks!

I am always willing to sit through another production of "The Lottery"

Have you thought about an evening of several short one-act plays? There are a couple of excellent 10-minute plays from the Actors Theatre of Louisville. They are published by Samuel French.

Good luck!

You might try

A nominal cast of 14 (though the chorus is flexible).  A relatively serious play!

"Life is Short" by Craig Pospisil has a cast of a little over fifteen, but people can easily take on multiple roles as it is a series of mostly unconnected scenes.

I was looking at Life is Short for some reason, and I remember every playlet having to do with sex (or containing a healthy dosage of the f-word). Probably not appropriate for high school.

I suggested this one for another post - but I just did this show and it is great for a large cast or small cast and perfect for schools... "The Least Offensive Play in the Whole Darn World" by Jonathan Rand. Playscripts carries the rights. It is about 30 mins or so. cast can be anywhere from 6 to 20. Very funny show. My kids loved it!!
