Hi- Have not posted in a while, and I am not sure if this would go here or in props, so anyway, I am in a production of Robin Hood, and the prop designer purchased bows and arrows, the arrows are suction cups. We now need to figure out how to get them to stick to the plywood target. if we used a high gloss finish they will stick, but then we have lighting issues with it being to shiny. Does anyone know if we pour a resin top would the surface be too shiny?

Any ideas would be awesome thanks!

The resin will be shiny but you can dull it down with hairspray to reduce the glare.  I'm sure there are many other remedies for glare out there that people have used on mirrors.

Can things be arranged so that the target is not facing directly downstage?  Wouldn't it help to have the target stage right or left at an angle that the light wouldn't hit it so directly?  That coupled with hair spray would be my suggestion.

How about a piece of matte Formica?
