We opened (and closed) BCPE this weekend in conjunction with this small town's big event and were filled nearly to capacity both evenings! The audience was incredible and the children were nearly speechless with the response they got. Before our Sunday evening performance, I was told by one of the kids that "it's all over town" and, indeed, we had many more at that performance than we had originally expected. I'm simply walking on air at this point and rushing to find something equally as wonderful for our next show (it's been insisted by the community that we continue this). I'm so proud of my troupe and simply had to share our success with everyone here!!!  ------------- In a world of margarine, be butter! |

Since they are insisting you continue, I'd suggest asking a few people you trust (who will understand why you are asking) just WHAT they liked about the show. Whether it was all the kids, or the story, or whatever, it will give you a good starting point for what to look for in your next show so you can reproduce the success. ------------- "If nothing else, there's applause... like waves of love pouring over the footlights." |

That is just wonderful - so rewarding too! I am very happy for you! Make sure you let us know what advise you get from the people you ask! Are you personally leaning towards an adult show, or are you sticking with the kids? They do bring in the audiences!
