It's been said that, every self respecting theater has a theater ghost.  We have just had a couple of newspaper articles and a TV interview about our resident spirits.  Does your theater have a ghost, or ghost tradition????

We've had the TV show Ghost Hunters come to our theater.

"Till next we trod the boards.."

One really dark and very stormy night, just weeks after we'd found a home for our group, I was with two other female board members and we were straggling behind after a meeting --  having a chat in the foyer of the big old "barn" of a school gymnasium we'd started to make renovations in... small town... not much for police security ... get the picture?  We heard a loud clanking sound coming from the basement kitchen... like the sound of some kind of murder weapon being dropped on concrete floor.  One of my companions started off to the basement and I said, "no, don't go down there.  Let's get out of here!"  We locked the doors and left.

We called my uncle who, as a professional engineer, is the most logical, level headed person we know, and asked him what he thought it could have been.  He deadpanned, "it sounds to me like you have a ghost."

The next day we ventured down to the basement and found a piece of a pane of broken glass from a boarded-up window in the far corner of the building -- our ghost.

Putnam CT.  You should come see me in a show sometime! (This is why we need a self promotion section)... it'd build our online community!

I've said the m-word plenty of times onstage, and yet I'm still very much alive.
