Chris & Mike, After last years big crash, I was wondering if all these intermitant board outages are just tech stuff or is there something we as users are doing wrong???? ------------- Marty W "Till next we trod the boards.." |

Nope... they're a result of our web hosting provider goofing things up. We are in the process of moving the website to another provider, but it has grown so extensive that the process has become very time consuming. However, we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, so please bear with us a couple more weeks and we'll get 'er done. (Did I just say "git 'er done"? No prob.... Most of us are so hooked on this, we could never leave... Just got a little worried after going through withdrawals last time around... I agree with Marty (never thought that would happen. Love ya really!). This Board is addictive. Days when I can't get on, for whatever reason, are murder! I have learned so much from all of you and really enjoy the exchange of ideas and opinions...even if I don't always agree with them!Actually, I learn more from those that I don't agree with. We know how to deal with that problem. Chasing out family is easy for us, and as for friends, we just toss a bottle out the door and slam the door after the rush. Hi folks, I've found that the board "outages" don't really seem to be
"outages" at all. It's definitely a problem on your hosting
providers end -- something with session control on the web server, but
it can be worked-around. The next time you see the all-to-familiar error message when you try to hit the forum, open your browser's cookie manager and delete any cookie for www.communitytheater.org with a name that starts with "ASPSESSIONID" and restart the browser. Alright, I know I'm sticking my neck out here, but why would I be known as "Blue diva" in your neighborhood, Gaafa? I did play Mrs. Savage in "The Curious Savage", but I know you can't possibly be referring to that, so......???? And, yes, I got tired of dying my hair a mousy brown color about 10 years ago, and decided to let it go back to its natural organic red hue.....
