Any suggestions on how to have the time (on a clock) move forward? The
clock could have a hole cut in the wall behind it, but we're unsure about
how to have an operator move both hands smoothly w/o being seen (this
is more Little Shop of Horrors stuff).

Thanks,

Adrene

When I did 1940's Radio Hour we had to have a clock. The time was announced, so we had to be accurate. We took the back off the clock and glued a longer and more managable device to the time change wheel. We had a light shine right on the face of the clock so that the face of the clock was visable from behind. We had one person in charge of the clock. He worked like crazy and figured out just how to move the hands so they would be the exact time. ie 1/2 turn was a minute. He knew when to move the hands so that audience was distracted and not looking at the clock when he adjusted the time. It took time to get it just right, but it worked very well.
