Hi, I was wondering if any of you guys have ever directed, acted in or even seen the musical Leader of the Pack?  If so, was it successful? Thanks for any help. Alice

We did this show four years ago.  It could almost be considered a "Jukebox Musical."  We actually used a high schoolers in all the artistic positions, except for Music Director, and it turned out really well.

It is a fun show with well know music, it should sell well if you advertise the songsas well as the show ... it di for us.

Did you do the 80's thing at the beginning of the show?

I directed a high school production of it - it was great fun

my favorite part was when four HUGE (maybe four feet high) cut outs
of beehive hairdo's were lowered onto the girl group's heads - it was
hysterical.

the only part that was dumb (IMO) was the ending - it doesn't really
work unless you have Ellie Greenwich - on the other hand, LOL, by
the last five minutes the audience is having such a good time, it
doens't make any difference. LOL

We just did this 2 years ago at our high school. Great fun! Sold out (and then some) every night!

We did the 80's dancing bit at the beginning...ohh the memoried it brought back!

We used pink foam to make HUGE records for the begining. Our girls wore neon colored behive wigs.

The audience loves this show. They ususally sing along and have a great time.

So, who publishes this work?

Sounds like fun.

I'm fairly certain it's a Samuel French piece
