I want to share information about a training opportunity in Washington State.  I have no financial involvement in this program.

For the last two years I have attended a week long training session taught by five world class instructors.  Each day starts with breakfast at 8 am and ends rehearsing with your scene partner at 10 to 11 pm.  In between there are four two hour classes and a different exercise each evening.  The class begins with lunch on Sunday, January 8th and ends at noon on Sunday, January 15th.

The students vary from Emmy Award winning actors to people who have never been on stage before.  Age ranges from 20's to 70's.  Most are amateur and professional actors with some experience and background in the theater although several had very little experience.

The classes include Improv taught by Michael Gellman of Second City, Embodiment (Movement) with Rob O?Neill a dancer, choreographer and movement coach from New York.  Steve Scott, Associate producer at Chicago?s Goodman Theater teaches Scene Study, Ted Hoerl a professional actor and instructor covering auditions, call backs and cold readings and Molly Lyons teaching classical work with a prepared monologue.

I have taken this program for two years and it has changed my whole approach to acting and the theater and, according to others, my acting ability has improved by leaps and bounds.

The class costs $450 to $550 (depending on when you register) and room and board costs $425 to $475 depending on the accommodations.  They will provide transportation from the Seattle Airport.

I can?t recommend this class highly enough.
