Hi
I'm directing a new version of "A Christmas Carol" this holiday season
and am interested in finding a source for pricing backdrops already
created and which would fit our new theater's proscenium. Does anyone
have a website or a name of some companies in which I could browse for
such a thing?
I can find Rose Brand, which sells the raw materials or an
unfinished drop, but not a pre-painted drop. I would like something with
an old London scene on it.

Thanks!
Colin

I would try Dreamworks backdrops, Grosh or Kenmark. all have online catalogs. I have worked with Grosh in the past and found them to be great. Remember to check the condition rating of the drops you want to use.

Also remember when renting backdrops shipping time is part of the rental in most cases.

if you put rental backdrops theatre into goggle you will get lots of hits

We've used Charles H. Stewart for years. - they have a website.

Also check out the sales of their used drops...it's a great way to
get professionally created scenic drops for low bucks!

When renting, remember what Shatcher mentioned: shipping
adds BIG TIME to the cost of the rentals - they're heavy and big
- and expensive to ship.

Try out www.grosh.com. Their website is excellent, considering that you can type in the name of a show and it will return all backdrops possible for it.
