Has anyone seen spamalot?  I am not able to see it because I'm not in the area, but they are going to come out with an original cast recording, can anyone tell me if i should buy it? I love Monty Python stuff.

I saw Spamalot a few weeks ago and loved it!  I'm a huge Monty Python fan and they had many of the classic jokes.  The really great thing was that there were also spoofs on musical theatre (Andrew Lloyd Webber seemed to be a favorite target) and theatre in general. There was a scene called 'The Very Expensive Forest,' which anyone in community theatre can relate to!

I'm planning to get the recording specifically for a great number in Act II called 'The Divas Lament.'

I'm not sure how much will be on the recording, but overall if you are a Monty Python fan, you'll laugh. If you are a musical theatre fan, you'll laugh the rest of the time. If you are a fan of both, be prepared to laugh the whole time!

Saw Spamalot a month ago and it is without doubt one of the best shows I have seen in a long time.  You would want to have an interest in musical theatre to get some of the hidden jokes.  The album is good but not fantastic music wise.

I would recommend you to go and see the show.  It is one of those feel good shows and I did feel good coming out of it.
