I am a local playwrite in San Diego, CA. I have just finished (after several years of re-writes and editing) finalizing a play I wrote several years ago, have sent it off to 12 different play publishing companies and recently (2 weeks ago) had a staged reading of it done at the Lamplighter's Community Theatre in La Mesa, CA.  I am now ready to produce it for the first time as a full production and have most of my production staff lined up and ready to go, and even have 1 role pre-cast from the staged reading.  I am seriously seeking a local theatre (with full stage to accommodate a full set, and at least be able to seat 50-100 minimum) that is not currently in season or getting ready to start, that will be dark from a week from tomorrow (7-19-04) through September 12th, 2004.  I am asking for this time slot as I wish to be able to hold auditions and conduct every rehearsal and every performance from beginning to end in the same theatre.  I do realize that most theatres rent their space when not using it, but being on basically no starting budget, I am wanting to draw up a written contract that the theatre will get paid their rental fee in cash at the end of the run of the show, taken from the total box office (as well as a professional set builder if I can not find one to volunteer their time), or a percentage of the total box office at the end of the run of the show, whichever is mutually agreed upon. This will be drawn up in a written contract.  If you know of a theatre in which I may be able to make this happen please contact me by email, or call me at (619) 462-2131.  Tom...SDSUGUY  AT  COX  DOT  NET
