Need the 2 switchblades for 12 Angry Men and don't want to go the fake plastic route because we'd like them to stick into the table.
Any suggestions? |

Lots of places sell them. Not the highest quality knives out there, but this place has them pretty cheap...

Used that site, still waiting for the knives. Turns out the company isn't very legit. Nobody answers the phone or responds to emails. Tons of complaints online about them. They have an "F" with the BBB. Now we don't have the props and are 2 weeks away from opening night and have no idea what to do.

I just tried Amazon, and there are some inexpensive ones available there. Yes, you are running out of time, and I am sorry that the place I recommended is turning out to be a bust, but you have plenty of time. Cancel your payment, and order from Amazon.

I know this is a very old thread. But, wanted to mention that I have seen switchblade type of combs for sale. They were fairly cheap as well, at under $5. The comb part was black. But, I wonder if simply covering it with aluminum tape would work to convert them.
If the tape doesn't stick well, or the individual prongs of the comb show through the tape, I suspect you could use an automotive filler, and then grind down the surface a bit before applying the aluminum tape, or painting chrome. |
