Hi, I am currently on the slate to MD Seven Brides..... and The Wedding Singer. I am looking for more specific score questions: difficulty of parts, superfluous parts, etc. If any of you MD's or Conductors are willing to field my questions or refer me to specific websites, chatrooms, etc. I would really appreciate it.
I am trying to recruit my players early as the good ones tend to be booked up by the time the actual material arrives. Thanks |

mtishows.com has good info on any musical they license (which is a lot of them!), including song samples, vocal ranges for actors, instrumentation for the orchestra, as well as categorization of the difficulty of the dancing, etc.
There's also a forum at musicals.net that may be more helpful for you. Those are hopefully useful starting places. I don't really know either of these shows (mostly a straight play fella myself, although I do play in pits sometimes), so this is as far as I go on this one. |
