Community Theater Green Room Discussion Board: A NEW SAVANNAH PLAY

   The author of a new play about Savannah, “Four White Gentlemen Sitting Around Talking and Drinking in Savannah on February 14, 1825” is looking for a theater interested in staging a production of this play.
The cast is for 4 men aged 35, 50, 59, & 66 and 2 non-speaking roles. It lasts about 60 minutes. Simple set: a dinner table, a screen, and a chamber-pot.
Four men have gathered for the purpose of enjoying a variety of fine Madeira wines. As they do so, they discuss the wines, wine lore, Savannah gossip, politics, and their personal experiences of some high points of Savannah history.
You might think of this as “after dinner theater” or, more accurately as “cocktail theater” because the audience members are served the same wines at the same time as the actors onstage. 
Though seemingly very Savannah-specific, this is a play about the essence of the South from a specific point-of-view.
