Community Theater Green Room Discussion Board: An existential production of The Wild Duck

   I was just searching around google images for productions of The Wild Duck by Henrik Ibsen & I came across these photos.  They are super creepy!  I was just wondering what would drive a person to take this play in this direction.  It's super dark & existential.  I'm not even sure if that's the word for it.  I actually am in admiration towards this person's mind, the set design, costuming, makeup, etc.  What do you think?
