I suspect that there are  a few schools out there with a dearth of male talent coupled with a plethora of females who deserve chances to shine on stage.  I recommend Drama Club Must Die, a musical, for any director with this problem.   The female to male ratio is two to one.  6M, 13F, 7 either.  The plot involves a high school drama club about to be dumped to help balance the school budget, a common occurrence all over the country.  The board offers the club one last chance - put on an acceptable original musical version of Wizard of Oz in  one week or die.  The second act of the show is that very performance.   Fun show.  They put it on at my local high school and it won raves.  It's also been performed all over the world with similar results.    Lazy Bee Scripts controls the rights.  Go here to read the entire script online - http://www.lazybeescripts.co.uk/YouthTheatre/Drama_Club_Must_Die.htm
